Are You Ready For August 2nd?
August 2nd is National Talk Like A Life Coach Day, sponsored by the Talk Like A Life Coach Foundation, a charitable organisation dedicated to relieving the suffering experienced by Life Coaches. Talk Like A Life Coach Day is a fun initiative aimed at raising awareness of the problems faced by Life Coaches every day of their lives. By participating, you’ll experience at first hand some of the problems and prejudices facing Life Coaches and related professions as they go about their important work.
You don’t need any special equipment to take part in this event, but you might want to practice some phrases. Here’s a few to start you off.
“If you could live your life all over again, what would you choose to be? Why not make a start on being that today?”
“How does this help you achieve your life’s purpose?”
“What would you do today if you knew you couldn’t fail?”
“Everything is possible when you believe in yourself.”
“Today is the first day of the rest of your life; don’t wait until tomorrow to start living.”
Practice these phrases today in the relative safety of your home, so you’ll be ready to go out tomorrow and face the Harsh Reality™ that Life Coaches have to deal with every single day of their lives. If having taken part in the day you might wish to contact the Talk Like A Life Coach Foundation to find out what more you can do to help. In particular, you might be suitable for the Adopt A Life Coach programme, where ordinary people like you and me are given the opportunity to provide support and assistance to Life Coaches who are having difficulty coping with the Real World™.
Thank you for reading this far. Please tell your friends about this initiative, the more people who take part the more successful it will be.
Darn! I missed this. Maybe next year they can have a whole week?
Question: Is it acceptable to throw soft fruit at life coaches?

Halleluiah!
You captured the trials and tribulations of the burdens carried by life coaches. Life coaches have to exhibit remarkable restraint and focus to be able to talk like a real life coach. Instead life coaches could just reply like untrained people would do by saying: “Are you crazy?” “You want to do What?” “Do I sound like your momma?” Refraining from reacting like those in the Real World is a difficult thing to do.
May I also endorse your Adopt a Life Coach Programme to encourage the nurturing and development of life coaches? Life coaches have to be allowed to vent their pent up frustrations in having to restrain themselves and continue to provide life coach talk, in the face of real life craziness and absurdity.
I feel so compelled by your programs (spelled according to the other version) that I have announced your “Talk Like a Life Coach Day” on my blog at: http://findyourcoach.blogharbor.com/blog/_archives/2007/7/8/3077433.html
May the life coach force be with you and your wonderful programs!

I’m sorry I missed National Talk Like a Life Coach Day. I could have launched my new coaching e-book on that day. The book is called “Sex Secrets of Successful Life Coaches.” I’ve interviewed 27 of the most famous leadership coaches about how and what they do to manage their sex lives. In unprecedented candor they have revealed 14 principles of leadership that they use to deal with sex in their own relationships. This book is a must-read for coaches who have been puzzled about how to be a successful coach and have a robust sex life (not with cllients, of course.)
